Casting Call for 3 Stage Productions

Willie is the pastor of the church who in his own way is comedic. He often argues with his brother Odell and his sister Elizabeth over issues pertaining to his alcoholism and her blindness. He tries to pour lots of wisdom to his family while maintaining his composure. He has 2 daughter, one who is going through domestic violence and the 2nd who is jealous of her daughters choice of living. **please note, the actor playing this role can be younger than the age of the character.**

Odell is the oldest sibling of three who is the family alcoholic. He is very rambunctious in everything that he does from his lack of singing, his hair, and his attire. Odell is a comedic actor who, much like his brother, has lots of wisdom to pour out. Not only is Odell an alcoholic but his sister often finds him at the strip club trying to pick up women. **please note, the actor playing this role can be younger than the age of the character.**

Tre is the son of a man who does not accept his responsibility as a father. This young man finds his father in his adult years and longs to meet the father and his family. Tre, is a very respectable young man. He works as a waiter at a restaurant, where he sees his fathers current wife.

Byron's father cheated on his current wife prior to Byron being born. The husband removes his current wife and children from their home and moves Byron and his mother into the home. He makes his buys his current wife and children a tent to live outside in an alley. Byron's character is completely disrespectful (much like his father) and arrogant (he feels he is the rightful child) to everyone.
