About the project: "The Check" follows two friends whose meeting with a mob boss takes an absurd turn over a dinner bill. Rate: Paid roles available. Meals and crafty provided. Additional info: Non-union. Filming: October 16 & 17, 2026, 9am–4pm. Location: Laurel, MD. Lead role. Stubborn, dry, and weirdly fearless once he thinks he's right. Needs to play ridiculous arguments with total sincerity and have strong comedic timing. Everyday guy, slightly out of place in the mob world. Open to all looks and ethnicities.
Lead role. Clean-cut, everyday look. The more anxious, socially aware half of the duo—constantly trying to keep Kevin from getting them killed. Needs strong reaction work, escalating frustration, and natural comedic timing. Should feel believable as Kevin's longtime friend. Open to all looks and ethnicities.
Supporting lead. Classic mob boss presence. Well-dressed, polished, and imposing.
Supporting role. Frank's waiter, caught in the middle of a situation he desperately does not want to be part of. Starts quiet and professional, but becomes increasingly nervous as things spiral. Clean, professional appearance. Open to a wide range of looks.
(3 roles available): Looking for physically imposing/intimidating looks. Larger builds, tattoos, shaved heads, rugged faces all welcome. Different looks encouraged. Great role for a beginner actor.
