About the project: After an unexpected pregnancy, Sol returns to her estranged mother’s home and uncovers the hidden pain behind their fractured relationship, forcing her to decide whether she can become a mother without repeating the past. (Lead) Independent and emotionally guarded, Sol carries unresolved pain from her complicated relationship with her mother. Returning back to her childhood home forces her to confront old memories and see their relationship in a new light. Skills: Spanish-speaking encouraged.
Supporting Lead) Strong-willed, hardworking, and emotionally guarded; Annie has looked at life as something to survive rather than live. Although she may never openly admit it, she deeply loves her daughter and often shows it through quiet acts of sacrifice. Skills: Spanish-speaking encouraged.
(Any Gender, Adult, Supporting) Kind and observant, Sol’s teacher who notices something else may be happening at home.
(Supporting) Sol’s psychiatrist who challenges her tendency to minimize the impact of her childhood.
