"Once Upon a Mattress" Show Needs Actors

The company is holding auditions for "Once Upon a Mattress" show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans. For after all, a princess is a delicate thing. Additional info: Callbacks will take place later that day by invitation only. Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of a musical theatre song. No accompanist will be provided, so bring recorded accompaniment on a phone, ipod, or MP3 player. Also wear something you can dance in, as you will learn a short dance combination with a group of approximately 10 others. Additional info: Rehearsals will be select weeknights from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Not all cast members will be called to all rehearsals. Please come to auditions prepared to write down all conflicts. Tech week will be October 19 – October 22 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM and the show will take place on October 23 at 7:00 PM, October 24 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and October 25 at 2:00 PM. All cast members must be available for all tech rehearsals and shows.
