About the project: This play in the round follows the stories of the Greek tragedies Antigone and Medea simultaneously. The King, Creon, in both shows is now the same man and his family is being compromised on both fronts — his son by Antigone and his daughter by Medea. This story of women empowerment is retold through the eyes of Apollo, the God of music and poetry, and his muses — the goddesses of storytelling. Using heavy influences of live jazz music and being set in the 1960s during the Vietnam War, these women must fight for what they believe in, even if it means death. Rate: Profit percentage. Performances: November 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, and 21, with matinees on the 14th and 21st. Rehearsals in Utah County. Performances likely in Salt Lake County.
