About the project: Plot Summary: In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Additional info: Auditioners should prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song (uptempo/comedic preferred) that you sing well. You may be asked to read from the script. Please note, this production may not follow traditional casting guidelines. Callbacks will be held the evening of 8/2 if needed. Rehearsals will run 3-4 days a week based on cast availability starting 8/31. Actors must be fully available tech week 10/4/26-10/9/26. The production opens Friday 10/9 and runs for two weekends. The rebellious everyman who works for Miss Pennywise at the poorest, filthiest town urinal. He becomes an unsuspecting protagonist and romantic hero when he starts a revolution. A clear high tenor; a nimble falsetto is a plus. Vocal Range: Bb2 - Ab4 (B4 optional).
A precocious and irreverent street urchin. She serves as a quasi-narrator who often questions Lockstock and the play's logic. Has a child's voice - because she is a child. Vocal Range: A3-D5.
