Additional information: Shoots in Victoria Aug 16-29. Seeking locals to Vancouver Island. All ethnicities welcome. Deadline for submissions: 23rd at 6.00 pm. This is a small feature film that takes place at a Ballet Academy for young adults. The students perform pieces of Romeo and Juliet in classical ballet, and one role requires some significant dance training as well as strong acting skills. When applying, please submit a short video of ballet pointe performance, head shot and resume with location of residence on Vancouver Island.

An awkward but earnest young dancer who feels like an outsider among the academy’s elite students. Sensitive, eager to please, intelligent, and quietly observant. Initially underestimated, but capable of surprising depth and complexity. Ballet training strongly preferred. SUPPORTING.
