About the project: Based on Alanis Morissette's world-changing music, this Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical follows a perfectly imperfect American family, brimming with joy, strength, love, courage, and life. Additional info: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete an audition form. Dance call and callbacks: afternoon of July 11. Rehearsals begin the week of July 26. Show runs September 18 – October 3. The show requires a highly active ensemble of adults and teenagers with many featured roles. Auditioners should plan to attend only one day of auditions. Be familiar with the show and its music, language, and themes, including sexual assault and drug use. Prepare two one-minute contrasting songs (one up-tempo, one ballad); at least one should be a folk/rock song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Singers will not be permitted to sing a cappella. Bring a list of conflicts between July 26 and October 3 (weeknights and weekend afternoons). If interested, please schedule an audition time.
