About the project: Step into the enchanting world of "Lerner and Loewe's Brigadoon," the beloved musical where romance and magic meet in the misty Scottish Highlands. When two American travelers wandering through the countryside stumble upon the mysterious village of Brigadoon, they discover a place untouched by time-a village that appears for only one day every hundred years. ​As one of the visitors, Tommy, finds himself drawn to the warm-hearted Fiona and the charm of this extraordinary community, he must decide where he truly belongs. With lush melodies, spirited dancing, and unforgettable songs, "Brigadoon" tells a timeless story about love, sacrifice, and the pull of a place where life is lived simply and sincerely.​ Additional info: Callbacks (by invitation only) Wednesday, August 5th, starting at 6:00 p.m. Bagpipers are encouraged to apply as well! Time Commitment: Rehearsals for "Lerner and Loewe's Brigadoon" will be held on Sunday, August 9th, for orientation and read-through. The rehearsal schedule will be: Sundays, 6-10 p.m.; Monday through Thursday, 7-10 p.m. Tech Week is Sunday, September 20, through Friday, September 25. No conflicts are allowed during tech week, nor for performances. The performance schedule is as follows: Saturday, October 3, 7 p.m Sunday, October 4, 1:30 p.m Saturday, October 10, 1:30 p.m Saturday, October 10, 7 p.m Sunday, October 11, 1:30 p.m Saturday, October 17, 1:30 p.m Saturday, October 17, 7 p.m Sunday, October 18, 1:30 p.m Material To Prepare: Prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo song or a ballad in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key with your start and stop points clearly marked. Be prepared to dance. You may prepare a 2-minute monologue (optional), and/or you may be asked to read from the script. This show is rated G and is suitable for all audiences.
