About the project: When two girls claim to photograph real fairies in 1917 England, their story captures the imagination of a nation desperate for wonder. The Curious Case of the Cottingley Fairies explores belief, fame, and the fine line between magic and make-believe. Additional info: Committed to inclusive casting — all roles open to actors of any race, ethnicity, and body type. Many roles may be played by actors of any gender, provided they are comfortable playing characters referred to with those pronouns. Note: Mabel Hallam auditions by invitation only. Audition dates: Saturday, July 11, 2–6 PM; Tuesday, July 14, 7–10 PM Audition location: Falls Church Presbyterian Church, 225 E Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046 Auditions will be readings from the script. Sides will be emailed to those signed up a few days prior. No materials or monologues need to be prepared in advance. A movement call will be held for actors interested in Lilli, Lillian, and/or the Ensemble — plan to stay for the entire audition time. Callbacks (by invitation only): Thursday, July 16, 7–10 PM, same location. Show dates: October 1–17 (Thursdays–Sundays). Note: October 10–11 is Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day weekend.
