Double Take Musical
Double Take is a bold new musical set in the cabarets of 1950s New Orleans, exploring identity, illusion, and transformation through jazz, pop, and theatrical storytelling. We are seeking dynamic performers for a script reading and developmental workshop. This is a collaborative, script-in-hand process focused on story and character development. Seeking strong actors who can embody both glamour and emotional depth. Black and LGBTQIA+ performers are strongly encouraged to submit. Seeking dynamic, versatile performers to portray the vibrant world of Le Papillon Rouge — dancers, cabaret entertainers, patrons, musicians, staff, and the heartbeat of the nightclub itself. Strong movement ability and theatrical presence required. Performers should be comfortable with jazz/cabaret-inspired staging, character-driven storytelling, and creating atmosphere through ensemble work. The ensemble serves as both the spectacle and emotional pulse of the production.
