Jack was born to be the bad apple. Born with nothing other than the hand-me-downs from his golden boy brother, this man has learned to get by on his charisma and wit. He is very sharp and known to tell a tall tale or two. He is a lady killer but the town is pretty wary that he has no intentions to marry so he doesn’t get to have much fun unless he pays for it. He spends all his time at his mothers tavern, usually asking for money.
Maria is an innocent nun who's feeling it harder and harder to keep her vows. Lately she has been haunted by a dark and evil force that has been plaguing her with nightmares as strong as visions and the sound of drums beckoning her to sin.
Hazel is a healer and has seen the dangerous power of superstition ravage her home town, which is what drove her here. She is a mother to all the local wildlife including those that the townspeople are afraid of like cats. She has been known to have remedies for the sick and lately she has been leading the townspeople in worship in a barn deep in the darkest parts of the woods. Her followers, men and women alike, have been growing in numbers.
Angel is the very opposite of anything angelic. She smokes a carton of cigarettes in the evening shift and she hasn’t woken up without a bottle at arms reach in longer than she can remember. She drinks to numb the pain of what she believes to be wasted potential. She has a beautiful voice and she believes it’s her divine purpose to be a star. But she married for love and ended up the wife of a butcher singing in a speakeasy for the most dangerous men in Gastown.
