ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers for production of "Tis Pity She's a Whore". See the details below. Rate: This is an independently produced production, awaiting successful grant funding, should that arrive prior to rehearsal compensation will be $2405/actor. Should it arrive after, it will be reimbursed pay or a box-office split, whichever value is higher. Additional information: Selected actors will be sent an audition invitation and asked to prepare material from the script. Please also be prepared to chat a bit with the team in attendance and know that you may or may not be redirected on your audition material. Male presenting. Giovanni is the lover and brother to Annabella; Grimaldi is a suitor to Annabella.
Florio is the father of Annabella and Giovanni; Friar is the confidant to Giovanni and Annabella throughout the play, complicit in the illicit affairs that have occurred.
Vasques is the cunning servant to Soranzo; Donado is Bergetto's uncle and friend of Florio; Richardetto is married to Hippolita and wants revenge on her and Soranzo.
(Male presenting) Soranzo is the duped husband of Annabella who ends up in a deadly dual with Giovanni; Bergetto is Annabella and Philotis' suitor.
(Female presenting) Poggio is the servant (and maybe lover) of Bergetto; Putana is the tutoress of Annabella; Hippolita is the wife of Richardetto and ex-lover of Soranzo; Cardinal is the diplomat to the Pope.
