Casting Call for "The Crater Sisters" Play
Looking to cast performers for "The Crater Sisters' Christmas Special" show. Please find the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Rate: Stipend provided. Additional info: Non-union adults Callbacks will be held by invitation at a later date. Auditions will be recorded for creative team members who cannot attend. Prepare/bring: Audition slots are three (3) minutes. Auditioners who go over will be cut off. Singing auditions: 2 contrasting pieces (memorized). You may sing 2 songs, a song and a monologue, etc. Sheet music should be clearly marked in the correct key and either in a binder, sleeves, or prepared to minimize page-turns. No loose sheets or sheets that have been rolled. Bring a headshot and resume. Bring your calendar so you can note any conflicts on your audition form. The more ambitious half of the Crater Sisters act. A down on her luck diva, who is desperate to regain the fame she once had. Since the act broke up, she has struggled hard to go it alone. She has managed to convince a streaming service to broadcast her live Christmas show. Allergic to dogs.
The more troubled half of the act. She originally formed the act, inviting Bella to join. But Bella had more of the head for business and grew into the leader. Lucy was unhappy with the change in roles and began to drink. Bella broke up the act, but hasn’t been able to succeed without Lucy.
Bella’s extremely nervous assistant. Tara is an aspiring agent/producer. She takes a lot of abuse from Bella and hasn’t been paid in awhile. But she believes in Bella’s talent. Staying with Bella also gets Tara approval from her father, whose favorite act was the Crater Sisters.
Tara’s love interest. Talented singer and dancer who hasn’t had a break. Tara represents him but doesn’t have time to devote to his career because of Bella’s constant demands. Works at the local pound.
