Performers Needed for Production of "Just Ask!"

Theater is accepting video auditions for its 2026 production of "Just Ask!", a celebration of disabled voices and inclusive storytelling. Seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. About the project: "As a diverse group of kids gathers to create a community garden, they learn about one another’s abilities, challenges, and strengths. Guided by Sonia, they discover that each of them has a unique way of being in the world, and that those very differences are what make their friendships and their garden bloom." Featuring multicultural songs in the spirit of Schoolhouse Rock! and Sesame Street, this colorful musical will help you learn how to “just ask” about what makes each of us extraordinary! Rate: $3,000. Most favored nation terms in effect. Additional info: Some roles are written with specific lived experiences in mind, and directors are seeking authentic representation. They especially encourage artists with disabilities, deaf or hard of hearing performers, and neurodivergent performers to audition. Auditions will only be accepted via video submission. Callbacks (in-person by invitation): Monday, June 15. Starting at 5:00 PM CST. Rehearsals: Aug. 11 – Sept. 11. Weeknight & weekends. Performances: Sept. 12 – Sept. 27.
