Bill is Chelsea’s fiancé and Billy’s father. He is a dentist, polite, and somewhat awkward around Norman, but he stands up for himself and his son. He is polite, well-meaning dentist who tries to navigate family tensions with grace.
The son of Chelsea’s fiancé, Billy Ray. He is a typical teenager—initially sullen and resistant to spending the summer with Norman and Ethel, but he eventually forms a surprising and meaningful bond Norman over the summer.
