"Pickleball" Show Needs Actors

A dominant, intimidating elite player and coach figure. She treats pickleball like religion and competition like warfare. She runs drills, critiques form mercilessly, and pushes players toward “greatness” with almost cult-like intensity. Her presence is both comic and terrifying.

The emotional anchor of the group. She’s athletic enough to play seriously, but she’s also grounded and values camaraderie over ego. Billie is the one who reminds everyone that the game is supposed to be fun, and she often acts as referee in their petty battles.

A comic striver: out of shape, out of his depth, and constantly treating pickleball as a weird dating opportunity. Larry is insecure, socially awkward, and hilariously blunt. He wants to improve, but mostly because he thinks it will help him meet women.

Once athletic, now physically broken (he waddles through the entire play). Sheldon is stubborn, sarcastic, and oddly lovable. He has deep affection for the group, even as he complains constantly and struggles with injury.

Fit, competitive, and often caught between being a good friend and wanting to win. Spike is the “alpha” of the foursome, but also anxious about status, partners, and rival players. He has moments of genuine warmth, especially with Sheldon.

An older supporting character who appears in comedic moments, often as part of the larger pickleball social ecosystem. Ralph contributes to the absurdity of the park culture and the echo-chamber of loneliness and longing.
