What you'll be doing: Working in a trench — and singing a spiritual together on camera. No dialogue. You don't need to be a great singer — you just need to be comfortable singing on camera. To portray soldiers of the 2nd Construction Battalion — Black Canadian unit that served in WWI. No facial hair, or willing to shave for the role (mustache is okay). No dreads, cornrows, or locs. Short hair or small Afro preferred.
A Black woman, being treated for an arm wound by a character named Evelyn. It's a quiet, still, no-dialogue scene. SFX makeup (simulated wound) involved. If the mother is comfortable with that, she would be welcome to play this role as well — so you both come to set together and leave after a couple of hours.
