About the project: SYNOPSIS: Set on the remote edge of a small Idaho town, this gripping new play reunites a razor-tongued aunt and her long-estranged nephew, when circumstances suddenly force them back into each other’s lives. With a crumbling house to sell and years of unresolved history between them, sparks fly, tempers flare, and buried wounds resurface. She’s blunt about the things she wants to be blunt about but holds her cards tightly. Works as a nurse at a hospital, but they keep reducing her shifts. Hiding an illness from everyone in her life.
A writer who doesn’t do a lot of writing. He’s smart, but stuck. Looking for direction - he recently broke up with an abusive boyfriend and has traveled back to Idaho to settle the affairs of his late drug addict father. Easy to get upset and is in somewhat of a depressive state.
Bookish. An intellectual who comes from a higher socio-economic background than the other characters. Working on his masters in astrophysics at the University of Idaho when he meets Ethan; will double as voice-only character Kenny: male/male-identifying, 50s/60s.
