About the project: SYNOPSIS: From multi-award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig comes a wildly entertaining, fast-paced adventure featuring everyone’s favorite detective tackling his most notorious case. Howls of laughter mingle with the howls in the night as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson race to crack the myster of The Hound of Baskervilles. Expect a whirlwind of theatrical ingenuity as our intrepid investigators navigate a labyrinth of clues, disguises and delightfully dubious accents. Five actors seamlessly transform into more than 40 characters, balancing side-splitting comedy with stylish suspense, proving that even on the foggy moors, danger and laughter make excellent companions. Rate: LORT Non-Rep $1213 weekly minimum (LORT B) $889 weekly minimum (LORT D) Additional info: Audition break: 1:30PM - 2:30PM. Most roles except bit parts are understudied. PREPARATION: For Plays: Prepare two monologues, no more than two minutes total. For Musicals: Prepare either a brief song or 16 bars of a song and a one-minute contemporary monologue. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring a hard copy of your headshot and résumé stapled together. EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided.
