About the project: CRASH CAB is a short dark comedy that follows Jeanette, a pregnant woman, being kidnapped during the height of her labour, by a crazed ride-share driver named Dennis. During this, she is put through a Cash Cab-style game show by the crazed driver, who is secretly her ex- boyfriend who will do whatever it takes to get his revenge on her. This short is inspired by both a melatonin-fueled nightmare after watching Joe Keery's movie Spree, and the writer/director's love for dark comedies. Rate: Non union. $50. A pregnant woman who's just gone into labour. Her husband, Ricky, is nowhere to be found, she is in pain, terrified, and now entering the cab ride from hell. NOTE: her pregnancy is simulated with a prosthetic baby bump, the actress does not need to be pregnant.
He is an incel type. He has long, greasy hair, and truly believes Jeanette has ruined his life by dumping him right before senior prom. He will go to extremes to get answers and will do anything in his power to get revenge. He speaks mostly in a cheesy game show host voice and loves to direct his commentary to the imaginary audience in his passenger seat. NOTE: The actor doesn't need long hair, just willing to grow it out.
