About the project: Isolated on the Yorkshire moors in 1787, the bright and wild Cathy Earnshaw is forced to choose between the wealthy Edgar Linton and the intense orphan Heathcliff. When Cathy chooses comfort over her heart's true desires, Heathcliff disappears for three years and returns as a wealthy man intent upon revenge. An original folk musical inspired by Emily Brontë's classic novel about the socioeconomic brutalities of class, race, and gender in late Regency England. Rate: $400/week (non-equity). Additional info: Auditions: Sunday, May 3, 10am–4pm and Monday, May 4, 1pm–7pm. Seeking actors who can sing and play an instrument. Please prepare 16 bars of music to be sung unaccompanied. If you play an instrument, please bring it. A full-size keyboard will be provided. If unable to attend in-person auditions, a 5-minute taped audition may be submitted.
