Logline: A sick teenager flees his abusive home in search of freedom, meeting new people as he goes, but as life on the road unravels and the weight of what he left behind begins to close in, he’s forced to confront the truth that some things can’t be outrun. Project Description: Despondence is a character-driven short film about grief, memory, and the illusion of escape. It follows a teenager who leaves behind a troubled home in search of something better, only to confront the emotional weight of what he can’t outrun. Rate: While monetary compensation currently isn’t possible, the studio hopes that it can be, as of now compensation will be in food and credits.
