This short film is about a man who processes the death of his sister, who took her own life after she received a cancer diagnosis. Filming Details Location: Buckeye, AZ Shoot Dates: April 16th-19th (with possible reshoot dates) Compensation: No Pay. (At 17) Jordan is ready for life after high school but feels held back by his circumstances. Despite this, he puts his loved ones first and will sacrifice for family and friends. His sister, Joy, is his best friend. (At 24) He is gentle, caring, and responsible, prioritizing his role as a husband and father. Since his sister’s passing, he has struggled to show vulnerability, leading to stress and anxiety. Though he knows he must move forward, he is still learning how to heal.

Joy is warm and well-liked, easily connecting with others through her kindness and wide range of interests. She balances optimism with realism, allowing her to stay positive without being naive. This makes her a source of support and advice for her friends. However, she struggles to seek comfort herself and finds it difficult to ask for help when she needs it.

Jordan’s partner and equal in devotion, she is strong, patient, and deeply loving. A trained pianist and self-taught cellist, she once performed professionally. She married Jordan at 19 and supported them while he was in school through orchestra work and retail. After graduating early at 17 and studying History and Mythology, she has recently chosen to step back from her career to focus on being present for her daughter and continuing to support her family.
