Actors Audition for Proof of Concept Short Film

The teenage dirtbag. Mason is the protagonist of the film. He acts impulsively, recklessly, and often without thinking of long-term consequences or repercussions. Mason has a deep rooted fear of abandonment, change, and growing up, instead of confronting that he runs, often dragging Finlay down with him.

Mason's reluctant partner in crime. Finlay is a chronic people pleaser, confined to his shell. Finlay often bites his tongue, doesn't know how to say no, and struggles to stand up for himself. Underneath that however is a desperate need to prove himself to Mason in order to win his approval and a simmering resentment towards Mason for constantly getting him into trouble. This lifestyle is challenged by his love interest Ashley who helps break him out of his shell and gain his courage.

The super senior party host and plug exploding with fake bravado. Adonis often acts like "The Man" radiating confidence and a certain chaotic charm to him. Under the surface, Adonis is a warning of what happens when you try to avoid growing up.

Finlay's moral compass. Loyal, levelheaded and not afraid to call someone out. She's the voice of reason among the chaos between Mason and Finlay. She sees Mason for who he is and encourages Finlay to find his inner strength. Ashley is highly empathetic, understanding and confident.
