Thesis Short Film Casting Call - Boston Area
Logline: After her grandfather’s Alzheimer’s worsens, Maple makes a deal with a peculiar person that leads her to lose her grasp on reality. This story centers around family and sisterhood as Maple deals with her grandfather's worsening condition. Casting for Emerson Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Short film: Maple Marmalade. Filming in the Boston area from May 2nd to 8th 2026 . This is a non-paid project. Actors will receive film credit and a copy of the finished film. Meals during production.

Age: Middle-aged. Mr. Clement is honest, avoidant, and kind. Having trouble facing the fact of his father's illness, Mr.Clement finds it difficult to show his true feelings and hides his worries.
Age range from 70- 85+ Micheal is generous, funny, and stubborn. Sharing a close bond with his eldest granddaughter, he cares for his family and puts them before himself. Initially, we see him at the late stages of Alzheimer’s with limited mobility and speech. Later, during Maple's dream, he becomes like his old self and wishes for Maple to face her fear.
