About the project: This feature film explores the dark dynamics of a cult. The story follows Chris, a man who forms a cult to have vulnerable people confront their past traumas, often in a vengeful way. Chris is obsessed with revenge against Timmy, his former best friend. Timmy appears well-adjusted but harbors deeper layers of emotion that will unfold throughout the story. The female lead, Anna, is a sex worker hired to seduce Timmy under the guise of helping him regain confidence. She has a sunny, positive disposition but is forced to face harsh realities as events unfold. Supporting roles include various cult members who interact with the leads throughout the story. Rate: Transportation costs covered and meals provided for selected actors. Additional info: Location: Austin, TX Date and Time: Shooting in April (exact dates TBD) Actors should be prepared for intense emotional scenes and layered character work. Who is hired by "Chris" to seduce "Timmy". She represents positivity and the limits of being a positive person when life turns dark and challenging to the point positivity no longer feels natural.
An impressionable young person sucked into the "alternative" philosophy pushed by the cult. Will be involved in ritual/party-esque scenes mostly, which will happen over 1-2 days.
