About the project: Jeremy Leonard and his wife Naomi are ecstatic when he books his breakout role in a feature playing a deranged serial killer. The two hoping the film will bring them closer to their dream of a family. However, Jeremy immerses himself in the role, and dedication turns into obsession as he chooses to go method. As his erratic and violent behavior towards his wife increases so does the critical acclaim of his film. Leaving Naomi stuck between two versions of her husband. Naomi is a woman who dreams of having a family. However, madly in love with her husband, she allows herself to prioritize his dreams, sticking by him as he tries to make it as an actor. Her excitement for him however, dies when he begins bringing his role home. Her love turns to fear, as the man she cares for so dearly becomes unrecognizable. The pain and heartbreak of slowly losing him to madness eating at her.
Jeremy is a man determined to build a life for his family. Desperate to make it as an actor, and truly believing he will, he holds back on beginning his family. A sense of responsibility to impress, both as a husband and onset, pushes him to his limits. As he dedicates himself to his role, his love for his family and his craft morphs into obsession. The concept of a perfect performance consumes him until the madness of his character begins creeping into his life.
Tired and ready to go home, the bartender at a rundown bar is confused when a woman comes in asking to watch the Oscars. However, curiosity gets the best of her as she accepts the request. Her attention suddenly pulled to the stars on screen.
The News anchor is a professional, who is highly skilled as a journalist. With a secondary passion for film and television, they are excited to report on the nominees for the academy awards.
