Looking for Main Role in Student Film "Paraphasia"
Only seeking the role of main character Joey at the moment. Story: Joey is at a crossroads. At 5:13 AM he turned 14, and he’s ‘too old’ to go hang out with his grandfather. He’d rather sit in his room and listen to grunge. And he doesn’t like the feeling in his stomach when he watches his grandfather, George, struggle to remember words he learned in kindergarten. But of all days, today Karen, his mother, won’t let up. While George struggles to express his thoughts and remember his grandson because of his worsening dementia, Joey has to figure out how to connect with George. Family is imperfect. But the way they can ultimately reach each other is through music, and being there when it matters.

12-18 y/o range. Joey’s a freshly 14-year-old boy, an observant old music lover with a stubborn streak. He’d rather be alone in his room cleaning records on his birthday, and he’s incapable of hiding emotions on his face. Deeply aware of the way others feel around him, he sometimes has trouble using his voice.
