About the play: A brand new show at the most iconic location in Vancouver, Water Street Cafe! From the creators of the sold dinner theater shows, Dinner with Jack The Ripper, Vancouver Werewolf Ball, and The Last Night Onboard The Titanic, comes the brand new show about Camelot. We are gonna feature all the iconic characters that you know and love from the round table. The beautiful Guinevere, the mischievous Morgan Le Fay, the devious Lady Nimwe Of The Lake, The handsome Sir Lancelot, and the troubled King Arthur. Rate: Non-Union. $500 CAD total. $100 CAD per show paid in cash at the end of each show for 5 shows (on May 11th, 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th.) Additional information: Audition Location Vancouver. King Arthur is a good man, or at least he was when he pulled the sword from the stone. But ruling Camelot has pushed him to question everything he knows about what it means to be a just leader. He is lost without Merlin's guidance and in danger of slipping into a darker side of himself.
Guinevere is a very complicated woman. Imagine finding the perfect man, marrying him, and living happily ever after. Until your true love comes along. She found the perfect man in Arthur, but love isn't about compatibility, it's about chemistry. Lancelot makes her question everything she knows about herself and love. She has to be with him. She hates herself for how much she is drawn to him.
Sir Lancelot is a man of few words. He is the bravest and most loyal warrior in the round table. However, his feelings for Guinevere are a plague on his soul. He is torn between his duty and his heart. He swore to protect his queen and yet his feeling for his queen are dishonorable.
Morgan Le Fay is a very eccentric and talkative young woman. She has a voice that could fill a stadium even when she's in a small room. Her presence is very polarizing. She has a dark and manic edge to her that can only be inspired by jealousy. We are looking for someone like Mia Goth in Pearl, Helena Bonham Carter in Harry Potter, or Janice Ian in Mean Girls.
Lady Nimwe is a mystical fairy woman who's almost more creature than she is high priestess. She carries a magical aura about her that is both mystifying and frightening. Her magical comes from a dark place that no one dares go. She is doing everything she can to drain Merlin of his powers and find the grail to use it's powers to stay young and beautiful forever.
