About the project: Synopsis: "House of Cards" is about a young man, lan, struggling with appeasing his narcissistic first-generation immigrant father by getting into medical school. lan and his mother have learned that not rocking the boat is their best means of survival in their home. In lan's final year of Pre-Med he meets Lana, a girl that earns his trust by lending a listening ear. The two quickly begin a relationship, but Lana's well-meaning desire to better lan's family life ends up disturbing the carefully crafted balance to avoid conflict with lan's father. Rate: Non union. This is a volunteer gig, but food/snacks will be provided. Additional information: SHOOT DATES: Exact dates TBD, weekends late April/early May.
