Frankie wants to go to Hollywood and become a movie star. Tommy loves Marie, but so does his younger sister, Frankie. Jack wants to save his family from hardship and poverty. In this hardscrabble life, family dynamics and sexual identity intertwine in unexpected ways that bring the tension between reality and fantasy into focus and raise unsettling questions about love and the risks one will take to find it and hold onto it.
