About the project: It is an experimental fiction film that explores a young woman's response to the impacts of the climate and ecological crisis, in particular the mass extinction of birds. Scientists predict that by 2084, seven billion people will be dead. That’s 90% of the world’s population. Some scientists predict that the world could end even sooner. That by 2050 they will face an environmental, societal and economic collapse. This is not the future that we deserve. This is not the future we are asking for. They are being handed a dead future, that we had little part in making dead. They feel hopeless, scared and angry. They are navigating our lives differently and planning for the future differently. Yet as the world deteriorates right in front of our eyes, our governments and leaders reassure us that “all is well.” Rate: Since these scenes are outdoors, directors provide hot drinks and food for everyone. They will credit you at the end of the film and will gladly help you find transportation if you need it.
