Performers Audition for Grand River Arts Festival 2026

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Looking for performers to join a silly, surreal and sensational series of performances in a Grand River Arts Festival 2026. See the details below. Additional information: This commitment requires you to be available for: performances on Saturday September 19th from 10 AM to 5 PM plus 3 rehearsals and 2 costumes fittings - dates TBD - which will be based on cast availability, between July and September. Directors will also have an online cast meeting in April to meet, chat and decide our other production dates. What you will get: - a weird and wonderful experience; costume provided; - a ticket for you and a friend to come to the Grand River Arts Festival Prelude party on Friday September 18th; - an organised, creative and respectful production process; - an honorarium, not sure how much, it depends how much we can raise BUT you'll get a little pay; - some cool photos from the event; - the event is free for all to attend on your performance day; - refreshments throughout processes. Performer requirements are: - must be available from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday September 19th. - you can be any age (over 19), any gender and any body type; you must be able to do: three, 45 ish minute, physical theatre performances, wearing a dress, on September 19th between 11 AM and 4 PM. - you must be willing to work with them to create a schedule with 3 rehearsals and 2 costume fittings. - must be up for some wacky, OTT theatrics; clown plus opera meets drag with a sprinkle of avant guard. - must provide your own transportation.
