About the project: "Beautiful Stranger" is the story of a young couple in the 1970's pursuing rock and roll stardom, only to have their dreams shattered by unexpected events, leading to a tragic downfall. Principal role. The family 'matriarch'. (Think of Kathy Bates or Margo Martindale). Strong commanding presence with a definite warmth towards her family. She is coping with the pregnancy of her teenage daughter and has to be able to 'hold court' while making tough decisions and dealing with the boyfriend. Looking for someone who can also pull off a slight French accent.
Attractive, thin, bright and quick witted. Frustrated with her mother's mysterious past. Plays caregiver to her dying mother.
Heavy set. Very quick witted and kindhearted.
Gail's grand-mother. Petite and delicate. Comfortable watching from a distance, but outspoken when needed.
