ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Searching for cast to portray roles in "Felt and Flesh" film. See the details below. About the project: "Felt & Flesh" is a third-year final student film that blends dark comedy and psychological horror to explore insecurity, identity, and emotional dependence. The story follows Emmett, a struggling actor who exists as a puppet among humans, a visual reflection of how inadequate and controlled he feels in comparison to those around him. His girlfriend Hanna loves and supports him, yet her encouragement unintentionally feeds his fear that he will never measure up. When the couple attends a dinner with Hanna’s best friend Amber and her husband Josh, a confident and accomplished doctor, Emmett’s insecurities intensify. The evening exposes unresolved tensions and unspoken comparisons, leaving Emmett feeling increasingly invisible. After a failed audition and a heated argument with Hanna, Emmett seeks comfort in Josh’s company. What begins as an attempt to connect slowly turns violent, as Emmett poisons Josh and later reconstructs himself using Josh’s body in a desperate effort to become the man he believes Hanna truly wants. When Hanna returns home, she is confronted by a horrifying hybrid of felt and flesh. Emmett insists that he is finally “better,” revealing the tragic cost of his transformation. The puppet is not a fantasy element but a psychological manifestation of Emmett’s internal struggle, as the film examines masculinity, self-worth, and the danger of defining oneself through comparison. Rate: Non-Union. This is a student film production with a limited budget and is therefore unable to offer monetary compensation. All cast members will be provided with food and snacks on set.
