About the project: Sting follows two undercover cops on separate sting operations crossing paths, now tasked to convince each other they’re something they’re not. After a failed abduction off to the side of Mo’s street corner, he walks away before being approached by Dylan - desperate to buy some drugs. As each party is accused of being something, they dive deep into their backstory, revealing they were more than what they are now, and regret their decisions. However, after caving in and making the transaction, both Mo and Dylan are arrested by a uniformed cop and a plainclothesman before revealing they were all police all along. Lead male – An undercover cop posing as an experienced drug dealer, Ty is a battle hardened big dog who’s not to be messed with. As he’s challenged on his drug dealing status, Ty looks back on his past life – a former tech student with large aspirations and a foreseeable future forced to sell drugs to his fellow classmates to keep his dreams afloat, resulting in him being arrested by campus security and expelled from school.
Lead male. An undercover cop posing as a roughened crackhead, Bobby – constantly clawing away at himself and always looking for his next fix – sneaks up on Ty, desperate for that sweet rock. As he’s challenged on his dope fiend status, Bobby looks back on his past life – a former slacker who tried his best to get his life together, while ultimately turning to harder drugs in a failed attempt of chasing his dream.
Supporting role – A newly ordained police officer, Carter – a scrawny, aggressive little dude – apprehends Dylan at the end of the film. Carter, the plainclothesman in the standoff, is seen in Ty’s flashback story – in a uniform, arresting the brawny Ty as a student. Carter is seen briefly and vaguely at the start of the film attempting to apprehend a crackhead, briefly and clearly during Ty’s backstory, and clearly in the end, arresting Bobby.
Supporting role. A newly ordained police officer, Nick – a clumsy, assertive little dude – ends up arresting Ty in the sting operation. Nick is seen in the customer’s flashback story – in plain clothes, serving up the customer with more white lines than a barcode, while also being pushed away in the process. Nick is seen twice – once during Dylan’s backstory and once at the end of the sting operation as he arrests Ty.
