4 role s

GrandmaFemale60-80 y.o.All ethnicities

Frail, confused but proud, Jackie’s 70-year-old Grandma is used to brushing off her own weakness so as not to burden her family. Though she relies more and more on her family’s care especially in the midst of her cognitive decline, she clings to independence.

LorettaFemale35-45 y.o.All ethnicities

A frazzled middle-aged woman juggling work, family, as well as both her father and mother’s declines in health. She trusts her daughter Jackie without hesitation but underestimates the magnitude of responsibility she has handed her daughter.

AngieFemale30-40 y.o.White / Caucasian

Italian/European. The boisterous, overbearing, middle-aged matriarch of the fictional Perfetti household. Her default mode is exasperated chaos, but when someone is hurt or scared, she brings on the immediate heartfelt “mom speech” that helps resolve the episode.

NonoMale50-70 y.o.White / Caucasian

Italian/European. A gruff, food-obsessed sitcom grandfather with a heart of gold (that he pretends not to have). Though mostly comic relief in “Sonny Side Up”, his presence grounds the family and reinforces the generational dynamic at the heart of the show.
