Storyline: A Black musician meets his longtime-girlfriend's traditional Cameroonian family for the first time through a cultural ceremony seeking their blessing for their engagement. As he haplessly stumbles to gain their approval, and their families clash, they must decide: does their love transcend tradition & culture?

She’s the Queen of bombastic side eye and loves a bit of shady gossip, or as she views it- “exchanging of information.” This loving matriarch is extremely steeped in her West African culture and tradition, and she can be extremely warm- a warmth that can be warm and fuzzy or also used to flame the hell out of you!
West-African accent. Jean Michel is a traditional, stern and gruff patriarch who’s not letting his youngest daughter go without a fight. In his eyes, no man is good enough for his daughter, let alone a musician from a different cultural background. Underneath his intimidating exterior, lies a sentimental, caring father coming to terms with “losing” his daughter.
