Male Performer Needed for "Corker" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking a male actor for production of "Corker". Please, see the details below. Additional information: Auditions are by appointment only. Show Run: April 30 – May 16 + one performance during the Theatre B.C. Zone Festival in White Rock (week of May 17). If Corker should be chosen to represent the Fraser Valley Zone, then there will be one performance in Vernon one night between July 5 - 10. Travel costs are covered by the theater. Corker is an 18-year-old homeless man living with a mental disability. After being cared for by a kind Samaritan, he’s sent to live with her sister’s family - who are shocked and unsure how to respond. Meanwhile, his overwhelmed social worker struggles to support him amid budget cuts and dwindling resources. A powerful, heartfelt role with emotional depth and humanity.
