Theater Audition for Summer Season
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Searching for performers for a theater summer season. Please see the details below. Additional information: The plays this summer are "Relatively Speaking" and "Sugar Road". All actors will act in both plays. The audition, rehearsal, and performance spaces are physically accessible. Self tapes will be accepted from across the country for those unable to attend in person. Especially interested in seeing actors based in Atlantic Canada. The submission deadline is February 6, 2026. Philip in Relatively Speaking and Ray in Sugar Road. A suave, older, British married man, a standard RP accent required.
A former roadie. Ray is content with the life he's lived since winding up in Sugar Road. He's a bit nosy and interfering.
Sheila in Relatively Speaking and Caroline in Sugar Road. Philip's wife, presented as a traditional, somewhat bewildered suburban housewife. Standard RP accent required.
Sheila in Relatively Speaking and Caroline in Sugar Road. A local. Lives on her family farm. Caroline is Hannah's chatty best friend, bursting with assured energy. This role requires physical comedy.
Ginny in Relatively Speaking and Hannah in Sugar Road. A modern young woman trying to end an affair, a standard RP accent is required.
The owner of Sugar Road Amusement Park. Hannah is strong, grounded and fiercely independent.
Greg in Relatively Speaking and Jesse in Sugar Road. A well-meaning but somewhat gullible young man, deeply in love with Ginny and eager for marriage, but easily manipulated by the situation. A standard RP accent is required.
A country singer. Jesse is effortlessly charismatic. Despite his fame, he is kind and deeply romantic. This role requires singing while playing guitar.
