About the project: When Jeff, a luckless young security guard, is drawn into a local murder investigation, loyalties are strained to the breaking point. As Jeff’s tightly wound supervisor is called to bear witness against his troubled brother, and an attractive rookie cop finds she must stand up to her seasoned partner, truth becomes elusive and justice proves costly. Additional info: Please prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue (memorized is preferred) Rehearsals: Rehearsals begin Monday, February 23, 2026 From February 23 through March 4th: rehearsals on Monday and Wednesday evenings From March 5th on: rehearsals Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings Please apply if interested.

A New York transplant, Navy brat. Got a job as a nightshift security guard for a Manhattan apartment building after being kicked out of the service for smoking pot. Wants to better himself, but unsure how. Talkative.
A native New Yorker. A captain at a security company and Jeff’s boss. Has ambitions of starting his own firm one day. Has high standards for himself and others, plus a strong sense of right and wrong.
A native New Yorker. A rookie cop who wants to better her community. Bill’s partner. Earnest and principled, if a bit impulsive. Doesn’t BS, but is not immune to others’ BS herself.
Maybe from the outer boroughs. A seasoned cop, well respected by his peers, and Dawn’s mentor. Close to being made a detective. Capable of being extremely likeable and charming, but also seriously intimidating.
