About the project: Casting "A Sinful People," which follows Colson, a reformed heroin addict, on his journey through his new path in Christianity. Synopsis: His therapy is being led by a radical pastor named Paul, who has an unorthodox approach to the church. As Colson prepares to marry his fiancée, Olivia, he begins to believe that Olivia is having an affair with Paul. Plagued by dreams and suspicions, Colson uncovers more about his new church that flips his world upside down. Rate: The film is unpaid; however, directors will cater lunches every day, there will be craft services on set, everyone will receive IMDb credit, and the film will enter a festival circuit. A reformed heroin addict who has found a new life in the church; he houses deep trauma from his upbringing with an abusive mother and struggles with his feelings of helplessness; his new life has brought him more happiness through his fiance Olivia and his therapy with his pastor Paul; he becomes suspicious of Olivia and Paul’s behavior and begins to uncover dark secrets about the church.
A dedicated lifer at Paul’s church who has built her entire life around the church; spends a lot of time volunteering and taking part in activities for other church members; bright and happy person who harbors a dark secret about the true activities going on at the church; easily manipulated.
A character who confesses his sins to Paul about cheating on his wife in front of the church congregation; he is later sacrificed at the end of the story for his sins but convinces Colson to spare him and go against the cult.
In a flashback scene, we see Colson's upbringing with his abusive mother. Mom is an alcoholic who takes out her pains in life on Colson.
