"Shrek: The Musical" Seeking Male/Female Performers

About the project: Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the hit Broadway musical, Shrek The Musical JR is a fun, heartfelt adventure celebrating acceptance, friendship, and being true to yourself. Follow Shrek, a lovable ogre, as he teams up with a wisecracking donkey and a cast of fairytale misfits on a journey to rescue Princess Fiona and discover what it truly means to belong. This family-friendly production is packed with humor, heart, and memorable music. Rate: This is a tuition-based production. Tuition is $480, due after casting on or before the first rehearsal. Payment plans are available. (No fee required to audition.) Additional info: Online registration is required prior to auditions Prepare 16–32 bars (60–90 seconds) of a musical theatre song Bring an accompaniment track on a personal device (no piano accompanist provided) Wear appropriate attire and footwear for a dance audition Auditions will include singing and scene readings from the show Actors should remain for the full audition session Auditions are closed to parents and non-auditioning guests Rehearsals (48 hours): Saturdays and select Fridays (January–March), plus tech rehearsals March 30–April 1 Performances: Two weekends / six shows April 3–5 and April 9–12, 2026 If interested, submit your application.
