About the project: The story centers on a hidden sanctuary beneath a small-town shop and the community that must decide to stand together after a violent hate-motivated attack on their drag matriarch. Rate: "The Closet" is a volunteer-based queer theatrical production raising funds for LGBTQ+ organizations, services & programs. Additonal information: The company is building a fully volunteer-run queer community production, and they’re seeking passionate, reliable people to join the behind-the-scenes team. No professional experience required — just dedication, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Rehearsals Begin: After Feb. 13th. Rehearsals: 2–3 times per week/Bi-weekly. Location: TBD. Lead. A seasoned drag queen and community elder. In drag, Gloria is sharp, glamorous, and commanding. Out of drag, Raymond is tender, guarded, and deeply human. Requires strong emotional range and monologue ability. Drag experience welcome but not required.

Queer young adult; bold, protective, and stubborn. Acts as the unofficial big sibling of the younger group. Fiercely loyal to Gloria. Emotional arc moves from anger to hope. Any gender identity.

Soft-spoken, closeted, and still discovering themselves. Delivers a powerful monologue in Act III. Needs vulnerability and earnestness. Any gender identity.
