(Vocal Range: Tenor C3-B4) An optimistic, energetic, and endlessly hopeful sea sponge. Spongebob believes in the good in everyone and approaches every challenge with joy, curiosity, and heart. Performer should possess strong physical comedy skills including expressive cartoon-like movement. Light acro skill is a plus but not a requirement.
(Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritenor Bb2-Bb4) SpongeBob's lovable starfish best friend who is kind-hearted, a bit dim-witted, and prone to childlike fits of rage or frustration. Performer should be a strong singer with natural comedic timing, physical presence, and innocence.
(Vocal Range: Mezzo/Soprano A3-E5) A brilliant Texan squirrel scientist and karate expert. Practical, driven, and courageous, Sandy uses her smarts and determination to help save Bikini Bottom. Performer should be a strong solo singer who is comfortable speaking in a southern dialect and handle scientific jargon quickly/cleanly. Martial arts skills are a plus.
(Vocal Range: Baritone A2-F#4) Spongebob and Patrick’s artistic yet cynical neighbor who has big dreams of fame. Sarcastic, dramatic, and bursting with repressed show-biz flair, he finally gets his tap-dancing moment in the spotlight. Performer should be a strong singer, dancer, with a grasp of dry humor. Tap dancing required. Will need strong control of physicality, as costume will require an extra set of legs
(Vocal Range: Baritenor/Tenor B2-Bb4) Hard-shelled owner of the Krusty Krab restaurant obsessed with money. Gruff but ultimately soft-hearted, Mr. Krabs is protective of his whale daughter Pearl and will do anything to make a quick buck, even in the face of imminent doom. Strong solo singer.
(Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor B2-G#4) The slick scheming villain, and owner of the Chum Bucket, a rival restaurant of The Krusty Krab. His personality outweighs his tiny stature. Performer should be able to sing solo, dance, and rap. Hip Hop experience is a plus.
(Vocal Range: Mezzo/Alto G#3-F#5) Plankton's computer wife and the brain's of the relationship. Cool, logical, and endlessly unimpressed. Performer should have strong comedic, almost robotic, timing and sing well.
(Vocal Range: High Belter/Mezzo Bb3-F#5) Mr. Krabs' teenage whale daughter. Big-voiced, big-hearted, and full of teenage attitude, Pearl dreams of pop stardom and independence. A very strong singer with high belt range abilities. Ability to riff is a plus.
(Vocal Range: Bass E2-E4) The lead news reporter of Bikini Bottom who enjoys telling it like it is to create chaos. Polished, dramatic, and delightfully sensational. This performer may double in the ensemble.
(Vocal Range: Soprano F#4-B5) A politician who provides more evasive answers than solutions to the problem. This performer may double in the ensemble.
(3 performers) - (Vocal Range: Rock Tenor/Rock Mezzo/Rock Baritone) A boy band of three. These hard to work with skating musicians are asked to play the Bikini Bottom Band Shell. Edgy, high-energy performers who bring a pop-punk vibe to Bikini Bottom. Skating abilities ranging from roller skates, skateboarding, or scooters is a plus. Performers will double in the ensemble.
(Vocal Range: Baritone D3-F4 (F5 falsetto)) The president of the SpongeBob fan club. A devoted pirate who is SpongeBob's #1 fan. Over-the-top, enthusiastic, and always breaking the fourth wall. This performer will double in the ensemble.
Muscle-bound fitness fanatic with big lifeguard energy. Performer will also voice Gary the Snail. Will double in the ensemble.
The nervous but well-meaning boating school teacher. Prone to panic and comedic exasperation. Performer will double in the ensemble.
Eccentric elder of the town; comedic, confused, and endearing. Performer will double in the ensemble.
Looking for up to 6 dancers for this group. Performers will act as the featured dancers in all big dance numbers portraying various sea creatures in Bikini Bottom. Performers should be strong dancers who are comfortable with multiple styles including hip-hop, tap, jazz, and basic musical theatre dance. Performers will be asked to help move set pieces as needed.
