About the project: In a sun-drenched Los Angeles mansion, perfect wife Susie prepares for her anniversary — only to discover her powerful, devoted husband Steven secretly has a child with another woman. The betrayal shatters her world, drawing her into a web of deception orchestrated by Steven’s manipulative ex-lover Sylvia, whose lies, schemes, and weaponized son push Susie to the brink. As Susie fights for her unborn baby and the truth behind her parents’ death, she uncovers an even more horrifying secret: Steven himself may be connected to the tragedy that destroyed her childhood. What begins as heartbreak spirals into kidnapping, violence, psychological torture and a devastating miscarriage. Broken, grieving, and betrayed by everyone she trusted, Susie walks toward a tragic fate — unaware that her death will ignite a storm of guilt, obsession, and revenge among those who wronged her. To force the child into the Southern family, she deliberately planned situations so Susie would discover the affair, then framed her further.
Supporting. Relationships: Older brother of Jessica. Backstory: In his youth, he cut ties with his powerful family for a girlfriend and worked low-wage jobs in a pastry shop. After being betrayed, he returned to the family and regained control of the business, overcoming heartbreak through sheer will.
Supporting. Relationships: Younger sister of Jeffrey; Susie’s best friend. Backstory: Raised in privilege and kindness, she believes Susie is the happiest woman in the world — until she learns the truth. Emotional Journey: After Susie’s suicide attempt, she begs her brother to save her and helps forge a death certificate, allowing Susie to disappear and heal, ultimately guiding her back to life.
