Please see the details below About the project: SYNOPSIS: When Abbey secures a position at a local sober house as a therapist, she forms a bond with a troubled young woman named Zoe and becomes entangled in a homicide investigation that bears a striking resemblance to the murders committed by a deceased serial killer. Will she be the next victim or will Detective Daniels and Berkley uncover the Truth before it’s too late. Rate: Non-Union- Pay based on roles. Additional info: Filming around the Cleveland Ohio area Production starts APRIL 2026 You don’t need to fully memorize the lines. Directors don’t mind if you do the self tape with your sides for reference but they want to see your eyes, facial expressions, etc more in the camera than looking down at your paper. (Lead) -A grounded and compassionate counselor who lost a loved one due to addiction. She moved back to Ohio from New York for a fresh start, landing a job as a therapist at an all female Sober House in Mayfield Heights.
(Minor role) Character only has a few lines in the opening scene with Zoe and the supporting cast
(Supporting) - Claudia is the House Manager at the Sober House with a heart full of stones. She takes her job very seriously and governs the Home with an Iron Fist. She doesn’t see the female residences as troubled but as menaces to society. When they’re bad, she locks them up in a dark closet for days at a time.
(Supporting) -Claudia’s security and enforcer at the Sober House. He watches everyone and everything with his staff. A cruel man, with a Madonna- Whore Complex who enjoys hurting women he deems as tainted.
(Supporting) -Bianca is a security guard at the Hannigan House Recovery Center for Women. She’s a sociopath who takes delight in mistreating the former addicts at the Hannigan House, physically and Sexually.
(Supporting) -Suzy is a resident at the Sober House dealing with drug & alcohol addiction. She has a lot of attitude but can be gentle as well. Susie is a survivor from a broken home, trying to stay clean. Her friendship with Zoe helps strengthen her when the demons try to call her back to the streets.
(Supporting) -Hazel is a resident at the Sober House dealing with alcohol addiction. A petty thief with a chip on her shoulder who doesnt get along with the other girls esp Zoe. She constantly tests Claudia’s patience with her grit and stubborn personality.
(Supporting) -Scout is a resident at the Sober House dealing with prescription pill addiction. A petite and quiet girl who survived a violent sexual assault in her past. She is targeted and harassed by Claudia and Mr. Sims daily. The other girls besides Hazel, treats her like a little sister.
