Theater Audition for "As You Like It" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers for production of "As You Like It". More details are below. About the play: Shakespeare's As You Like It meets all the charm and muddy fields of a Renaissance festival, where banished maidens don clever disguises, exiled dukes live like the “old Robin Hood of England,” and love-sick swains wander the Forest of Arden sighing sonnets to the trees. Rosalind, banished by her uncle, must masquerade as a strapping young lad, turning courtly romance delightfully upside down. Amid rustic revels, playful trickery, and the wise musings of fools, the tale frolics toward a festive finale of reunions, revelry, and enough weddings to make any tavern chant HUZZAH!
