ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers for production of "Waiting for the Parade". Please, see the details below. About the play: "Waiting for the Parade" is a drama in 24 scenes. It is set during the Second World War and depicts life on the Canadian home front. Five very different women find themselves brought together to wait and to work for their men, during a time of political and personal uncertainty. Additional information: Onstage: April 15 – 25, 2026. Callbacks: TBD. Key Dates: First read through: December 22, 2025. First Rehearsal: January 12, 2026. Audition Requirements: Please arrive with one of the following: 2 minute (max) contemporary theatre monologue (we can provide one from the show, if needed) be prepared to cold read scenes for a variety of characters – scripts will be provided. Sing Happy birthday, O Canada or another popular tune unaccompanied. Please bring the following to the Audition: availability between January 12 to April 25, 2026; and head shot and resume, if you have one. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Monday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings.
